Location
Nissi Training Centre is situated in the south of Johannesburg. The location of the centre is strategic for the following reasons:
- To offer education and training to previously disadvantaged communities who face transportation challenges due to financial constraints.
- To channel qualifying learners into career opportunities within the Printing and Packaging sector.
- To award potential learners bursaries to enable training in the Printing and Packaging sector.
- To facilitate theoretical and technical semesters for existing apprentices in the Printing and Packaging industry.
Staff
Ranjeni Moodley, Managing Director of Nissi Training Centre, hails from a previously disadvantaged community. Her personal challenges as a female entrepreneur have inspired her to establish this facility with the aim of empowering others to become qualified in the Media, Printing and Packaging field.
Her vision is to equip individuals within her community with practical skills and sustainable career opportunities. She is an established industry professional and a successful registered exporter with several years of experience, supplying printing consumables and equipment to a large African client base.
Logan Naidu is the Training and Skills Director with over 40 years of experience in education, skills development, and training methodologies. He lectures various specialised trade subjects and provides practical training towards full qualifications.
Mr Naidu has played a significant role in the development of both legacy and new Printing and Packaging qualifications. With the phasing out of legacy trades, he spent several years developing new QCTO-mandated knowledge modules.
In 2024, following a successful site visit and audit of facilities and learning material, Nissi Training Centre once again became the first accredited service provider to offer the new QCTO qualifications in the Printing and Packaging sector in South Africa. This achievement was realised without external funding and stands as a major milestone for both Logan Naidu and Nissi Training Centre.
